I can take pictures of my crew in the Valco later if you want. The toddler seat isn't dinky at all and I'm pretty sure my five year old can still fit if he really tried. Let me know your email to send them to if you do want pictures.

As far as being worried about a reduced view for whomever is in the second seat, I wouldn't worry about it all. I compare it to people concerned about rear facing legroom or not being able to see rear facing. It's all an adult perception when the little ones really don't care all that much.

Oh, I know she'd FIT with no problem, I'm more concerned about not having a full seat back or the ability to recline her for naptime. I also think that sticking her right in arms reach in front of the 2yo might be asking for trouble LOL.

I'm probably making too big a deal out of the second seat and they'll be fine, haha. I'll keep a lookout for a b-ready at a good price around here. :)

I have a b-ready and although it is absolutely heavy (I never lift this beast in my car!), I think it would be good for your needs. If you only have your baby, you can put the 2nd seat in the third position, so its kind of hidden in the basket.

Removing the 2nd seat is not something I would want to do on a daily basis...

I'm not worried about weight at all, I like the muscle work-out. :p I had a MB Duet before this which weighed in at 34lbs, and I believe the B-ready with doubles seat is like 36, so it's pretty much the same. At least with this one I have the option to pop off the seats or whatever if I want to make for easier loading, but I probably won't worry about it.
I know the second seat folds into the basket, so not being able to remove it is nice! It looks like it's pretty easy to pop on and off though?? Or am I mistaken? It looked like putting it on was super easy but I couldn't find any videos of taking it off - is it a harder process than the reverse?

A stroller that I see advertised for sale used all the time that might work is the Kolcraft Contours double. I don't have any use for a double these days but have eyeballed them from time to time just for the added space for the older kids stuff.

I absolutely loved my b-ready. I was in a situation like you where I'd only be caring for one child sometimes and the britax was perfect for that, and the basket is AWESOME. Get the Britax parent organizer. It is seriously one of the top ten best things I've ever purchased. It works so well and isn't super flimsy.

ETA: Once you get the hang of taking off the bottom seat it's a breeze. Recline seat while simultaneously sliding up a little black tab on the side to allow the seat to recline flat, push in two black buttons on the side of the seat/bottom side bar, lift up slightly and off it comes.

I'd get a Baby Jogger Versa ($229 on Amazon) and add the Uppababy baby rumble seat. While the Versa isn't technically a double the Uppababy rumble seat attaches easily and securely. I know several people who have used it this way and it's great. I use the Versa now with a rider board and it is amazing.

I found a B-ready double for $285, or with two liners and a parent console for $300. It's a bit more than I wanted to spend but I'm considering it... Eta: image-1603242824.jpg So pretty!! Ah!!

She just noticed a couple of scratches on the belly bar so she's dropping everything to $285!

I went for the B-ready  but I just found the Joovy TooQool. Out of my budget anyway, but looks REALLY cool - and BOTH seats have a 55lb weight capacity! So if anyone comes looking at this thread down the line, look at the TooQool also!
