Safety 1st Go

Is the safety 1st Go still being made? I can't find one anywhere. I am sorta looking for a 5pt harness type thing that can be stored in the trunk (without taking up much space) when not in use. For a range of ages 3+. I know the RSTV is an option, but I thought a real harness would be easier to use. Anything else I should consider?

I assume you're asking about the Safety 1st Go Hybrid Booster. We have one and we love it - it's great for travel, field trips, car pool. A couple of months ago I emailed the company because I couldn't find the seat in stock anywhere online. I wanted to make sure it hadn't been recalled. Someone from customer relations wrote back:
"There was no safety issue with the Go-Hybrid. It is now being manufactured by a company called Indiana Mills and Manufacturing."
I still haven't been able to find it online, but maybe you'd be able to find one on EBay.
I'm no expert, so maybe one of the techs has better info to offer. Just wanted to chime in that we love the seat and wonder why it disappeared.

I believe it is only being sold to "fleets" now - such as Uber Family or for institutional / day care use.

Which is really sad.

Yeah, IMMI was the original manufacturer before selling the design (or whatever the agreement was) to Safety 1st, who had now given it back. I'm really disappointed they don't seem to be manufacturing them for the public anymore. Mine is due to expire next year :(

Ooooooh, that's a pretty leather cover!

They (IMMI) were at a safety conference I was at in June and mentioned having the design back, but didn't say it was only for specialty purposes, so maybe it will come back to the market?

It was by far my DH's favorite seat and it's currently by far DD2's favorite booster (it tapers down so nicely for leg support!)
