What to do?!?!

Car seat nightmares?

Anyway, right now I'm going to squish between a MR65 (rfing) and a Diono RXT (ffing) in the back row of the car until the baby is able to hold her own bottle.

The MR65 expires Dec 2016 and we always rent a car in the summer for a road trip - usually get a Caravan but since they're being discontinued I'm wondering if we'll still get minivans or whatever the 'equivalent' is. FX it's a bigger minivan. Next summer we'll have 2rfing seats, a booster, and 1ff seat to fit in whatever we get. Plus me, DH, and my MIL.

Anyway, I think I need another skinny seat. DS's Parkway is so wide that he pretty much has to sit in a captain's chair. Should I buy another RXT or the foonf or the fllo? I saw some sort of infant insert coming out for the filo (on here I think) but I don't know when that's supposed to happen.... I don't mind squishing between the seats for now, but since we're going to need something eventually anyway, maybe sooner is better? Or at least by next summer? Or would a normal person be able to fit by the window in the back row of a caravan (keeping in mind the ff tether anchor is only in the middle seat so it would have to be me, ff diono, rfing diono)? And would the shorter base on the fllo make it less of a nightmare in a rental?

I appreciate anyone who wants to think out loud.

Thanks!
