    EPS foam on Ultra/Platinum CarGo

I saw on Graco's website that EPS foam is only on models manufactured after July 19, 2004. Do you think it's important to get that? How would I find out the manufacture date? I was thinking about ordering online from BabyAge where it's $59.99 shipped, but now I'm wondering if the cheap price is due to it being the old model. Any feedback?

I would guess it's an older model without the EPS ... I really like the idea of EPS, but I'm not sure precisely what the exact statistical-type benefit is other than it's the same stuff used in helmets so it's added protection for head injury & I remember reading that head injuries are the most common kind of kids in accidents

You could just call or e-mail them and ask the mfgr date of the model you're considering. Other people have done that type of thing in the past to ensure that they're getting the version they want.
