Who wants to see...

What the base of a FR90 looks like disassembled?

Bought it for $70 on my local classifieds today, pretty much for the cover, and to disassemble. The family was moving to the mainland and didn't want to take it with them for some reason.

Cool! What material is the safe cell made of? It looks like hard plastic. I never really looked into it (don't have Britax seats), but I guess for some reason in my head I was thinking it was a foam type material.

SafeCells are made of what I believe is polypropylene or high-density polyethylene. I can take them out an stick them in a tub of alcohol and water to see! (HDPE sinks in the mixture, LDPE floats). They are quite rigid and similar to the plastic that the shell is made of.

Very neat! I just never would have expected that. Not really sure why... but I definitely wouldn't have.
