Vehicle seat protectors/covers etc

We are getting a new vehicle, and it has cloth.

The option is to have the dealer install leather ($$$) or have aftermarket covers ordered ($300-$600). Like these http://www.iggee.com/MScatview.aspx?catid=SLEATHER
or these: http://www.carcoverusa.com/CalTrend-ICBINL-Seat-Covers.html#/modal-product-gallery

Do I have to have leather? No, I don't. But I have to have something covering these seats and it needs to be waterproof and more importantly allergen friendly. I can't have allergens getting into the fabric etc.

My concern is with the airbags. It says it has cutouts for those, and I see no issues, but I don't know a durn thing about this stuff.

Any red flags with getting these?

Our children are in FF RN or Nautaluses ages 4 and 5. The vehicle is a 2014 (I thought 15 but it is not) Chevy Malibu LS.
Thanks!!

I would be VERY cautious about using any seat covers, even if installed "professionally," that did not originate with the dealer. We don't know how the seat would perform in an accident-- with compression, airbags, etc.-- when the upholstery is not factory-installed.

Since you haven't gotten the car yet, can you hold out until you find something that already comes with leather? I wouldn't want to use an aftermarket cover and switching out the cloth seats for leather ones seems like such a pain.
