Feelings on small 4 yr old in RSTV

She is right at 30 lbs. She would be in a 2000 Pontiac Firebird for once a week (to church). I think our extra older radian will fit in the very contoured seats but it expires in the next couple months. So what are your thoughts on using one for a kid at the bottom of the weight range.
My husband won the car this past weekend so we had no plans to get such a unfamily friendly car. We don't feel like we can sell it for at least a while as there is a great story and meaning behind it. His current car has 260,000 miles on it and has a oil leak so we assume it is on its last leg.

It really depends on the fit to child. That's something I think you can only try and see how it goes. Order somewhere with a good return policy if you go that route?

I'd want a tether for a child that young and potentially wiggly.

Is it potentially a 2001 Firebird by any chance? That's the oldest listed in the LATCH manual. Otherwise the 2000 might be able to get tethers retrofitted from GM.

I am pretty sure it is a 2000. It does say in the cars manual to contact the dealer to retrofit top latch anchors. We plan on calling GM next week about them. We just picked up the car today. The radian fit well in it but we want a top anchor before we have our middle daughter ride in it FFing. We would use the radian until it expires. We did have our Aton in there (without base) and it fit great as did the Bubble Bum for my oldest.
