Which Car?

Our Suburban blew up so we need a car yesterday. I'm feeling rushed and stressed and just when I decide one I found is good I hear negative.
Choices I'm debating between:
Town and Country ('08)
Honda Pilot ('05 or '06)
several years of Dodge Grand Caravan
Sienna (the 8 pass one) My husband is really pushing against this one because his dad said they have a weak transmission. I'm really pushing for it because it looks super carseat friendly.
Or I really loved having a Suburban but can't find any in our low price range.
Bah, I am hating this decision and hating being without transportation even more.
BTW we will have eventually 5 carseats. Right now we have FF Maestro and Sureride, FF Roundabout and a crappy infant seat.

What's your budget? If you like the Pilot, then you should also like the Odyssey. It's safer and more car seat friendly than the Dodge/Chrysler/VW minivans...especially the 2011+ generation. You indicated that budget was a concern, so perhaps the current gen is out of the question.

yeah, anything current generation isn't a possibility. We are at a budget of $7K or less, maybe squidge it to $8K
Ugh, I'm grateful my FIL is taking a vested interest in helping us find a car but I wish he would stop talking us out of every car we finally decide on. Now we're back at square one because he just convinced my husband no Caravan's, especially 05-09 years.
I just want to get something and be done! At this point I only care that it has 4 wheels and 6 seatbelts

I'd personally go Pilot. SInce anything in that price range is probably going to have high miles, make sure that it has had the timing belt replaced. That needs to be done at ~100k & can be very expensive to do.

How about 2006-2010 generation Kia Sedona? IIHS top safety pick and probably right in your budget. You can fit 5 car seats (just don't get the SWB (short wheel base) trim level), but it is a little tricky to get 3 across the back.
