Latch weight limits?

I had posted this yesterday looking into Recaro vs Britax to replace seats involved in an accident on Friday. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?p=2783352#post2783352

Got great advice (Thanks!) but then started reading more and found out there are now Latch weight limits depending on seat/vehicle etc. Lots of helpful threads here on that!!!

So my new question is...if Latch is what makes sure the seat is being installed properly, and seat belt installation leaves more room for error, what would allow me to use Latch the longest?

Our 7 year old daughter is very small. She is 46 inches tall, 43 lbs & 16 inches sitting/shoulder height.
Our 4.5 year old is more "solid". She is 40 inches tall, 42 lbs and 13 inches sitting/shoulder height.

The Performance Sport and Frontier probably weigh about the same.

Honestly, the seatbelt installation on both seats is very easy. The Britax is practically effortless, and probably even easier than LATCH.

:yeahthat: And the Performance Sport is maybe 1/2 step away from the Britax as far as the ease of the seatbelt installation. We have one and I never even considered installing with LATCH since the seatbelt is so easy! I would say that both of those seats has a seatbelt installation that is easier than any LATCH installation I've done.

I think the Frontier 90 is pretty close to foolproof. The only issue would be if you didn't read the labels, it's very clear as to how to route the belt. It's really a dream to install! :)
