Questions about the Rainier

I have so many! First, I watched the youtube videos of the Radian when it looked like the dummy's head got smashed against the side. So in my mind it looked a lot less safe than others. But, apparently it does very well in NCAP tests ….so confused. Does anybody know the numbers of that test or the US standard one so I can compare to the Foonf? Does the Rainier appear to have deep enough side walls to contain the head better?

We fly a lot internationally. How easy is it to install RF with a seat belt in small foreign cars (VW Golfs especially). FF on the plane? Is it so upright FF on the plane that it's hard to sleep? I usually RF for the recline, but am sure this is too big of a footprint to do that.

My husband loves the backpack and fold part of it. Is that a gimmick or is it really easy to use as a backpack?

Can a 6 month old that is just learning to sit up be comfortable in it with the angle adjuster or is that too upright? What is the angle without it - a full 45 degrees? And with the adjuster? I have a 2014 Honda Odyssey

I have a Foonf and like it a lot, but I don't want another because I would have to put it outboard behind the passenger and that really impedes my vision (it's no problem behind the driver). I also would never fly with it (I don't think…has anyone wheeled it through an airport and used it on a plane?) The Fllo seems perfect, but then the crash test numbers are not as good and I can't bring myself to buy a seat that I can't delude myself into thinking is "the best!" My mom has a Nextfit and that is also really nice, but I feel like I may get more resistance from a RF 4 yr old or harnessed 6 yr old in it because it looks like a baby seat….any truth to that? Everyone around here is FF at 1 yr and bolstered at 3, including my friends kids and DD1's preschool class.

So am looking into the Rainier and trying to understand why that video looked so bad! Thanks for any help.
