Baby jogger city elite

Am thinking of purchasing this stroller for my special needs students. Kids that would ride in it are 3-6 (small 6 year old). Some 50 or more pounds. Anybody have this stroller? I need some input as to how much taller the back is vs the city mini that we already have and is too small for some of them. Thanks!

My tall 6 year old seems to fit in the City Mini and the City Elite just fine. It shouldn't be too small if they are small 6 year olds and only 50 lbs. You could take the canopy off...

I bought a City Elite for my SN kiddo a couple of years ago. He's now almost 7 and still fits. I am pretty sure we will take it to Universal Studios in Feb. I highly recommend it.

The Summit is made more for people who want to lightly jog. It's 2 lbs heavier than the Elite, has a hand brake, 16" tires in the back that are air filled and not forever-foam like the Elite, and have the same specs for the child (just no adjustable foot rest). You also lose the back console for keys & a drink as well as the adjustable handle bar for differing heights while pushing.

The Summit and Elite can both take 75 lbs, but according the specs, the child seems to have a tiny bit more room in the Elite in the width. My guess since it's not much of a jogging stroller, it's not as narrow.

OOh, the adjustable handle is one of my favorite things about my Elite. It allows my 6'4" hubby to comfortably use it, my 5'7" self, or my 5'2" mom.
