MA Crotch buckle short?

DD is 4.5 and I am beginning to find the MA difficult to buckle over the thighs.. She is by no means chunky, I just find the buckle is just a touch too short. I *never* loosen the harness, and don't like the idea of having to start now as my MA adjuster can be a pain to get tight.
Anyone else have this problem. I would move her to the radian full time, but since the radian offers no sleep support it isn't the best seat for her (she's a big-time car sleeper) until I get the Infant insert which should be in the next few weeks.
ARRG! I love the MA! This rots!

Are you buckling the crotch buckle before the chest clip? I generally don't need to loosen the harness each time if I do that. Although, this is by far not the first time I've heard this complaint. She might just be to the age where you'll have to start loosening it. :(

My dd was loosening, buckling, and tightening herself by this age...she never complained about that ritual, and there was no other way for her to get in the seat... (On the other hand, go get an old Evenflo Medallion...I thought the MA was a dream to tighten compared to that beast... so I've never had the slightest complaint about my MA, lol)

:)

I guess I'll just have to start loosening the harness a bit, I do not feel comfortable teaching my DD how to do it herself..Buckling and unbuckling is an adults job IMO.

Anyway I know this is a common problem I just never thought it would happen with my skinny mini!
