My brother is having an issue with the latch belts installing his infant maxi cosi base, he says the belt seems to short to install in his Nissan Rogue? i have yet to see the install but wanted to ask you all if anyone has ever heard of such a thing? He has since used the seat belt but would prefer the latch system.

Well, it shouldn't be too short. He should be able to loosen the latch belt out all the way, run the belt through the base properly, turn the base sideways, attach the closest side of the latch belt, then putting his weight on the base, attach the other side. Last, keep weight on the base and tighten the belt.

I agree the Mico is much easier to install w/Latch, so I don't blame him. Sometimes belts are shorter than others, but it should still work, just may take a few tricks. Some latch anchors are buried and it's tough to access them, but I don't recall the Nissan Rogue or Murano's being that bad.

My first thought is he might be attempting a center LATCH install?

Or perhaps he didn't loosen fully the LATCH strap before attempting to install?

I have done installs in Rogues with no issues, but haven't done a Mico so I can't really say for sure.

If he can post some pictures that would be helpful, and we'd be happy to see what we can do to make it easier.
