Hi! We will shortly (fingers crossed everything goes well!) have two rear facing kiddos in our backseats. We need to replace my car and are looking into our options. I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help with- I tried searching and am new to this site so if this has been covered I apologize.

1- is there a sedan that can fit two rear facing car seats and a 5'6" and 6'2" driver and passenger both comfortably and safely?

2- we are also looking at compact suvs. we are looking into the
A- the honda CRV
B- the Toyota RAV4
C- the Hyundai Tuscon

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Yep...there are quite a few sedans that can do this for you. The new Accords are considered full size vehicles now, and have quite a lot of room. I am 6'1" and had plenty of room to fit our Boulevard in the 2009 Accord behind me rear facing. The Nissan Maxima & Toyota Avalon are also good options. There are two American cars that I would also recommend with the Ford Taurus and the Chevy Malibu (all new redesign). Still a little leery of GM right now with all their issues, but the Malibu isn't one of the ones caught up in the massive recalls........yet. ;)

On the compact ute side, I would highly recommend the Mazda CX 5, Ford Escape, Honda CRV, Subaru Forester, and the Hyundai Sante Fe (not a huge fan of the Tuscon).

Best thing you can do is get out there and kick the tires. CarMax is a good place to see them all...

What carseats do you have?

I just drove the new 2015 Sonata. It's a hair bigger than the Accord I had the week before and worth checking out. There are also full size models like the Chrysler 300, Ford Taurus and Chevy Impala that should have even more legroom than any midsize sedan or compact SUV, and probably even many midsize SUVs.
