Which for 3-across?

Any thoughts on which would work better? Toyota Matrix, Mazda 3 or Nissan Versa. I think the Nissan's the smallest (so the hardest?)

The Matrix has some kind of overlapping seatbelts. My bf has a 2009 and I still haven't found a 3 across that works. I haven't played with every seats, but it seems impossible to fit a Canadian booster in the mix.

HTH!

I can take a pic tomorrow. Its not THAT bad, but it's a bit of a pain.

FWIW, I have a scion xB and we both love it way more than the Matrix. It's funnier to drive, roomier, safer, and the engine is more powerful. Obviously, you have to like the boxy look. The seatbelts dont overlap! Anyway, I love my car ;)

I'd say Mazda3. I believe TechnoGranola has one.
I'd add the 2012 or newer Ford Focus to the list if there are any in your area. I have a 2014 hatchback and could do 3 across with the right seats.

We have a new Mazda3, not sure how different the backseats are (other than ours has a headrest in the center). The middle spot is super narrow for the seatbelt, but I bet a convertible on a (narrow) base would work there, and make it easier to buckle a booster next to it.

I don't remember what Techno has in hers, the only 3-across I've done in mine has been a Bubble bum center with Literiders outboard (no more harnessed seats or convertibles to play with at my house). I guess I did squeeze myself in the center between a Parkway SGL & a Literider when we were test driving it also, buckling wasn't easy but we fit.
