German seats?

It'll be next year before we go again and I'm thinking I'd like a different strategy this time (ie, I don't want to haul 3 heavy seats on a plane).

So, just curious overall, what are the best seats over there for each stage?

Is there a forward facing harnessed seat that holds a higher weight? (Korah is NOW 40lbs and wears a 5T, she will probably be wearing my pre-pregnancy wardrobe by the time we go next year. She will be 3 this week).

What are some good HBB options that fit 6-8 year olds well? (Smallish ones, who are also in the 40-45lb range). I'm looking to either borrow these from family members or, if cheap enough, have them waiting when we get there (and maybe bring them back for educational purposes).

And, does my amazon prime free shipping apply to stuff I'm sending from Amazon.de to a German address?

Thank ya much :) :)

Prime is country dependent so no, your US (?) prime will not be applicable in Germany.

The in seat the harnesses FF in Europe beyond 18 kg is the TWE which harnesses to 25 kg. it runs around €250. Check carseat.se.

Barring that, if you have family you can leave seats with, I'd haul them over from the US and illegally use US seats. Mainly bc you are there for too little time each year (presumably) to warrant spending hundreds of euros on seats that will be used infrequently.

Even the graco turbobooster (called jr maxi here) runs like €80.

I totally get not wanting to travel with seats. I have seats in the US stored at my patents for this same reason.

I would get a Sureride and some combination of RSTV 2s or Bubble Bums or something like that for the older kids, whatever is appropriate for their size, your budget, etc. No need to haul heavy seats.

I do already have one RSTV2, last year I toted 2 Radians and a Scenera. This year I want to NOT do that. Korah is already over 40lbs so that eliminated the Scenera anyway, and the Radians were wrecked.
