We were driving on the highway and got rear ended pretty badly. Everyone is ok, and I'm so thankful ds wasn't with me since he is ff now. I hit my head good and have quite a bit of neck, shoulder and back pain, so I know he would have been hurting. To top it off i am just 6 weeks prego w/ #3! I'm normally calm in crazy situations but I got pretty upset. DD was with me in her chaperone and had been asleep and instantly started screaming. I insisted EMS come and evaluate us both and left her in her seat until they got there....I think they thought I was a little nuts but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Dd was in her chaperone but ds performance sport was installed. I just heard from my insurance that the at fault driver's insurance is not likely going to replace ds seat since it was unoccupied. It is not even 6mo old so I am not too happy. Fortunately, we were just getting ready to move dd out of her bucket since she's been undoing the chest clip (which thank God she hadn't done because on the way to our destination she had and the accident happened on the way home!). We do still need the chaperone replaced for #3 though. I have read these threads enough to know by now but can't remember.... Do Britax and Recaro require replacement after an accident?
