DS turned 5 today and finally hit 35 lbs! He had his last ride rfing in the RA50 and his first ride ffing in the TF. He was thrilled to turn ff, unlike DD1 who was devastated when I turned her. And bonus - he can now buckle and unbuckle himself!

Wow! Great job rear-facing so long! Do the straps need to be moved up on the TF? It's hard to tell, but looks like it might be just below his shoulders.

I was trying to decide if I should go ahead and move them up or not. They look below when you're standing back, but when I find the slots in the shell, they are right at his shoulders. Forgot to see how it looked with it raised up a notch. I think I'd rather have it up than have to inspect it every time to be sure he hasn't grown that fraction of an inch to go over!

Oh, I know that feeling :). And yeah, the TF slots are so far back in the seat, it makes it harder to tell.

That's awesome! That's the same seats my DS RF in at that size! Still love the classic MA shell. We didn't care for the TF FF because of the recline but DS still sits in the MA at 7 and doesn't complain!
