Question 2006 Saturn Ion 2 four door and carseats

My husband and I are trying to figure out what carseats can fit in the back of our little compact car. I'm also curious about an infant seat or a convertible. The primary driver of the vehicle is 6'3" and I'm 5'6".

Has anyone tried to get a carseat into a compact car like this? Thanks for your help!

I have an '04 2-door Ion. I used a chicco keyfit when DD was an infant and now use a radian RXT RFing. Both have been installed behind the passenger seat (I have no middle seat).

I'm the primary driver and am 5'9" with about a 32-33" inseam. DH can drive if he must but not ride. He is 6'9" with probably a 36" inseam, maybe a little longer. I can ride if need be but it's tighter than I prefer for safety. (This is with the radian installed with the angle adjuster, with the keyfit there was a little more room)

I think you have a little more front to back room than I do, so you'd be fine with quite a few seats.

ETA: just in case you don't know, the angle adjuster can't be used until the child has good head control. The radian will not fit in my car without it.

Thank you! We have been looking at the key fit but we don't live in an area to just test it in the car. Also my title I mistyped I have a 4 door

I have a 2003 ion 2 4 door. I've put so many seats in that car. I've used a graco snug ride, britax convertibles, radian XTSL, frontier85, cosco scenera, and numerous boosters. despite it's compact size it is actually a very car seat friendly car. I purchased mine brand new 11 years ago and it's been a solid family friendly car for myself and two children.

my car is getting the recall fix done next Monday. I'm so excited my dealership finally got the part in. I've been on a waitlist for a few months.

That's awesome! My baby sister has one and has been waiting for months for the part to come in. Quite a frustrating ordeal...
