Need car seat cooler

We live in az and yesterday my daughter was crying getting in her car seat. I had to start the car and use the Noggle to blow cool air in her seat before we could leave the store. I felt horrible when I was trying to buckle her. Just because it is not too hot for me doesn't mean it's not too hot for her.

I usually can make something homemade rather than spend $ but dd#2 is due any day and I am breathing through contractions as we speak so I am just going to order one through amazon prime but need to know which works best.

I will use this all the time as we don't park in the garage at home we park in the driveway.

Thanks

Do you cover the seat with a white towel when it's not in use? Also there is something like an ice pack you can use, also do you have tinted windows? If not maybe a static cling tint would help keep the car cooler.

Haven't used a white towel. Yes the windows are very dark tinted. I will have to try the white towel thing thx.
Anyone else know of an ice pack cooler thing for a car seat that actually works?

This might not be in your budget, but we use our remote start on hot days and run the car for a bit just so the AC cools things down enough to make it bearable.

I can't recall the name of the car seat cooler thing I bought. It's fabric with pockets that you can stuff with portable ice packs. You just freeze the whole thing, put it in the seat while you are out, then take it out again (obviously!) before putting the baby/child back in. You might also try to just freeze those reusable ice packs (I'd use the hard plastic ones as they last longer) and put them in her seat and then cover it with a white towel.

And if you are in labor right now, best wishes for a safe delivery!

When my sister was still living in Vegas she used regular ice packs (I think the thinner, flexible ones) and covered the seat with a blanket or towel. It was parked in their garage when at home but when she went out she just grabbed the ice packs. She said it worked nicely.

My remote has this I am not sure if it is hooked up to do that but I will check.

Thank you! And good to know about the hard plastic ones lasting longer.
I was having contractions all night but they stopped this morning. Baby will be here soon though I am sure :) thanks for the well wishes
