Thanks to Pixelated for the reminder about the rear facing tethering for the new Britax. Our primary seat for our 10 month old (Advocate) must have been manufactured just before the big Britax commandment change about mandatory rear facing tethering... because it only "strongly suggests it".
So I thought I would give the RF tether a whirl with her advocate since the manual for her new Roundabout makes it mandatory and I don't want to be messing around with installation when we take the smaller seat with us on vacation.
Per the manual, I tried to match the placement of the straps to the outside of the car seat... but the black inflated head thingies (yes, that's the technical word) on the outside of the seat are pretty slippery... I believe in a crash they would probably not do much/slide off and slip up, etc. If/when they did slip up there would be too much slack to stabilize the seat any more than it already is without the RF tether.
I've included 3 photos and would love some advice on which is acceptable/safest.
OH, and please ignore the haphazard placement of her brother's parkway... I just chucked it back in after installing her seat... I promise he doesn't ride like that!
Here are photos to help out... sorry I meant to include them in the ori
