Question Level line?

Hi everyone, I have a Britax Marathon 70 installed RF in my 2012 Hyundai Elantra and I can not seem to get the level line parallel to the ground. I have read about using pool noodles to achieve a proper recline BUT mine is tilted the other direction. The level line is higher where the my cars seat meets the back. (The car seat is fully reclined) Anyone have any tips on how to fix this?

For a britax seat that is over-reclined, first, make sure the base isn't sitting on top of the lower anchor connectors if you are installing with LATCH. As long as that's not your problem, pull the base of the seat farther away from the bight (crack where the vehicle seat back and bottom meets) and push down on the seat near the harness adjuster while you install.

Thank you! I pulled it away from the seat back slightly, tightened it down again and now it's level.

Note that the line on the Britax is the middle of the angle range, so when it is parallel to the ground, the seat is at 37.5 (allowed range per the manual is 30-45 degrees). If your babe has good head control, you are good with your current install, but if you are transporting a newborn or young infant, you will want to recline it a bit further and the line will tilt down.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mine in the future, but for now my youngest is 9 months. :)
