As I've said on here before I'm looking for a booster for a small 8 yo I'm watching this summer and thought if just grab a turbo bc I knew they were on sale this week at target and would last long enough to use in a few years for Soph but of course they were out of the girly one...

Here's the moron part - all I hear about is how easy the backs fall off and the back was off of the display model. I tried for several minutes to get the stupid thing back on just to see how tall it actually went. I couldn't for the life of me get it back on. I didn't have the manual but still... I could get two of the plastic hook type things on but not the third. Am I missing something?

And did they discontinue the purple one with surround sound... It's been out of stock on target.com and amazon for a while.

The trick is to stand the backless part upright with the "hinge" facing you. I steady the backless part between my feet. Then take the back, stick it in the hinge with the head part laying on the floor. It slides in that way, and then you can rotate it up so it's in the proper position. Basically, it has to be folded nearly in half backwards for the plastic bits to come together properly.

You have to hold it so that there's a 90 deg angle between the back of the seat and the bottom of the seat. Then it will slide into place and you can rotate it into the proper position.

Hmm ok, thanks. It's amazing it comes off so easy when you have to do that to get it on.
I haven't used one in years, but I remember thinking that. Every bloody time the back came off so easily just pulling it out of the car, then it would be SO HARD to put the back on again... and I would think "whyyy??"

If you want to feel like a major moron and weakling, try putting together a Harmony Dreamtime.

:ROTFLMAO:
I got one and fought with it to get it together. Then, less than an hour later, a friend came over so I could help her with her new seats (post-crash replacements) including, you guessed it, another Dreamtime. I thought I would be all boss and get it in no problem after figuring out a technique or two with the first one. But no, the second one was way tighter and made me look like a dumbass. I did finally get it together.

It does go together strangely, so really, it wasn't you, it was the seat.

Mine fall apart constantly despite me knowing. I had no problem putting together my Dreamtime's. Adjusting it on the other hand....that is a crappy design. But I love the seat so much I deal with it. And the Affix's sit in the garage. ;) LOL
