And this is why I have a problem with people saying we don't need laws requiring belt and child restraint use. If it's legal, someone will take advantage of that. :(
This is my opinion too. Most people only care what's legal and what's not. I've known a lot of people that had to receive tickets for not using car seats before they started using them for their kids.

People who need laws and use something not being illegal as a justification for harmful parenting frustrate me beyond belief. But they're out there in hoards, so we need those laws and better ones than we have now and police officers who actually enforce them.

P.S. Aren't these big vans particularly unsafe vehicles too? I thought I read that somewhere.

Every time we're driving 1-70 in a snowstorm (which happens so often at the tunnels or Vail pass) I feel thankful that my kids are buckled safely and pray we make it to our destination without a crash.

Those vans made me nervous (driving on the roads with them, I've never been in one) even before I knew there were lap babies in them. :mad:

We use to live on the Western slope and would drive to Denver all the time, even in June you can run into bad weather along I70!!! During peak ski season there are accidents constantly! The CME vans make me nervous too! Especially with sone of the driving practices they have
