We ended up with a (certified) 2010 Honda Odyssey EX with the RES feature.

Question though....do all Oddy's drive 'rough?'
It's very bumpy compared to our Chevy Venture, and honestly I think it feels more like a truck. (We bought it at a dealer 2 hrs from home, and my DD even got carsick on the ride home.) I thought it might just be the one we bought since it had new tires, but we had test driven 3 different vans that day and they all felt the same.
Just not quite what I was expecting. :shrug-shoulders:

I consider it more like a car compared to minivans like Sienna. The road-feel and handling are better. At the time, that was a selling point for me. The typical tradeoff for this in the suspension is that the ride may not be as smooth or quiet as it could be. Take a really sharp turn at a relatively high speed in your Odyssey. Try the same in a friend's T&C or Sienna. They will lean to the point to where you feel like you need to slow down a lot sooner, in my opinion. Now take them on a concrete highway that hasn't been resurfaced in a while. The Odyssey will be bumpier and louder, all else equal.

Both of my older Odysseys drove a lot better than my Highlander does now. But the Highlander is a lot quieter and easier on road trips. Tires can make a huge difference also. Even brand new ones can vary a lot depending on the design. Some are optimized for ride and comfort, others for rain/snow traction, performance, etc.

I do like how responsive the steering is, and it turns/parks like a dream.
I'm hoping it just takes some getting used to and that I'll soon fall in love w/ it.

Sounds like tire issues. Michelin's seem to be the best brand of tires for Odyssey's. It's like they are the glass slipper for this car as all other brands fall woefully short in ride comfort and noise. Overall though, Honda makes their cars to be "sportier" with better handling and tighter suspension. It shouldn't be drastically different from your Chevy Venture though, so it concerns me that it's riding rough.

I will say this with full confidence...the 2010 model isn't as quiet and smooth to drive as the newer design model that started in 2011. We clearly saw the difference between the two when we bought a few years ago a 2012.

We've had our Odyssey for a little over a month now and I love it.
We took it in to our local dealer and it turns out that (despite being 'certified') it had warped rotors. Once we had those resurfaced, it rides much smoother. :)

I knew it! Glad you got it fixed and I am so glad you love it.
