checking a booster seat at counter?

I know it has been said here that is not recommended to check a car seat at the counter when you are flying but what about a booster inside the original box???

One big issue is that if it's lost or damaged you'll have nothing on the other end.

I would check the back in a well padded luggage bag (clothes packed around maybe) but carry on the backless portion. Or just bring a backless! It should fit under the seat in front.

Another option is the Harmony folding booster, designed to fit in the overhead bins.

I already got the turbo booster and I can't buy another seat, and they don't sell that one here anymore, if it get lost I cam sent somebody to the store to get a backless... my concern is if the seat is consider crash?

Not unless it's damaged. There can be hidden damage not immediately apparent. That's a risk you take checking any seat. Why not carry the bottom on and pack the back in between clothes in a sturdy bag to protect it?

I will be flying by my self with the baby and the 6 y/o so was trying to bring as less things as possible with me and I have one stop, I can also carry the box to the gate and send it with the stroller when I get ready to board? I can make a carry strap with tape

I'd pack the back and attach the bottom to the 6 year old's back pack or the stroller.

That's what I'd do. If you're not worried about it getting lost you could pack the whole thing well padded in checked luggage, I'd trust that more than the box. That box is not the sturdy kind I'd use if there was no alternative (and there seems to be a viable alternative or two here. Heck if you're not moving or something, you can just have them have a booster waiting and not have to bring it back and forth.)
