Me in 2 different car seats in 1988

I know some people like to see old pictures of kids riding in car seats and I found 2 of me today! Funny how just a few years later there is a picture of me riding in the back seat with nothing on a trip from FL to TN. How things change!

Lol, I love how you are holding onto the seatbelt in the first pic.

I didn't even notice that! Doesn't it look SO safe?! I believe I would have smacked my head on that plastic somehow if we had wrecked. Did seatbelts even lock back then or how did that work?

Love the t-shield! My ds1 came home from the hospital in one and as you can see from your pic a noob head would not even clear the shield. He was sort of behind it with the straps tightened all the way. We took to putting a folded bath towel under him to lift him so his head was above the shield, but resting awkwardly on the fully tightened straps. The shield was nowhere near his body for months.

This was 1996, btw. The t-shield was supposed to fit from 5lbs. Ds1 was 8lbs.

Kolcraft is out of buisness. Graco bought Century in the early 2000's.

The pic of you in the front seat brings back all kind of memories of the car my dad bought my brother... is that a Buick?
