Our daughter is (finally) showing enough maturity to handle a booster. She's 6.6yo, almost 50 lbs. When I tried her in the Nautilus the lap belt touched her thighs, but the bulk of the belt was low against her belly. Isn't that exactly what I want to avoid? Or is it not such a problem because the seat bottom ramps so much to help with submarining?
This is for a captain's chair in an '03 Odyssey. What size/shape kiddos generally fit well into the Nautilus as a hbb?
When she sits in a literider (still too immature to do that much), the belt is completely on her thighs, and is nice and flat. So maybe I'm expecting too much from the Nautilus in terms of belt placement.
I didn't like the fit in the Nautilus, and put her in our Monterey instead, but we're having Monterey issues - back widening out, shoulder slipping off, etc - another thread about that. I'm working to fix the Monterey problem, but since it is a discontinued seat there is only so much that their customer service can do.
