In Search Of iso nintendo ds system

Looking for a used system, any model would work. Inexpensive- it's for my 3 year old for an upcoming cross country move. All of our ds lite's have broken tops. What do you have?

It's for my 3 year old girl, so it could work. What would you be looking for price wise? What kind of condition is it in? Is it the regular size or XL?

I heard about a guy at a local flea market that's open on weekend that fixes ds's for cheap. I have 3 ds lites that have issues that if I could fix them cheaply would negate the need for a new one. Has anyone had luck getting hinges and top screens fixed on their ds's?

My son just went to the pawn shop with my husband last weekend. He was telling me they had 2 dsi unit for $40 a piece. I didn't realize the prices had dropped so much. It might be worth calling around.

Honestly, if I could find a new 2ds for her for close to $100, I'd consider getting her one of those. I grabbed the boys 2ds's for that during Black Friday and I really like that there is no hinge to break the top screen. But I refuse to pay $100 on eBay for a used one when I get new ones for that!!!

Maybe patience and waiting for a sale On the 2ds or seeing if we can I expensively fix the units we already have would be worth it. Unless I can find a screaming deal here, that is!

I had DS 3DS top screen changed. I could find the website if your interested. I paid to ship it there and for the repairs, they paid to ship it back. I also bought the screen myself off amazon. I had bought it with the intentions of having my DH change it but he didn't have time. He's changed a ton of iPhone screens so I figured it couldn't be that much harder.
