Also, if he flops down take the head portion of the insert out... I know they recommend it for some preemies to help with their airways. He looks better so far in that one though, just not enough room to grow.

I hope your coccoro has the two piece insert- seems like I heard some just have a one piece... :-/

yes, it is one piece. i could cut it and i dont really care about it otherwise so its doable. I am thinking since I have spent so much time worrying about this issue, in 2 or 3 weeks he will be sitting independently and fine for the Ffonf. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't cut it. Hopefully it'll work for now!

Is his airway compromised with his head falling forward? If that's not a concern, maybe just leave things be and let him build strength through trying to pull it back up. We used to turn 1yos (or younger) ffing and not worry about their heads falling forward and it was fine because the treachea is big enough to handle the tilt by that age. Unless his medical condition shows severe airway abnormality, there's no reason to believe he's any different.
