    Car seat on plane?

Traveling soon by plane. Seats will NOT be needed at the destination (Disney magical express). Both kids have their own seat on the plane. DD1 will be 4y 11mo and I'd estimate 42" and maybe 40#. Does she need to use a car seat on the plane? (She's currently in a frontier 90, 5-pt harness). When are car seats no longer needed on a plane?

DD2 will be 3 and she's a handful so there's no question, she will be buckled in her car seat on the plane

    M: 10/2011, 35#, 41"
Both riding in a Britax Frontier 90

    Re: Car seat on plane?

My kids have done fine on the plane without their own car seat when they were your DD1's size. It would be reasonable to not bring a seat for her on the plane. Have fun at Disney!
    DD1: 14, finally five-stepping!
DS: 10, LBTB, Harmony Youth Booster
    DD2: 6, Chicco KidFit, HBTB w/ SS

    I agree, I wouldn't bring a seat for an almost 5yo.

    Have a fun trip!

I think it's a really good idea to bring a car seat for the 3-year old. I think the almost 5-year old would be fine without.

    Have fun!!
