Here is a list of new product recalls issued this week: 3/27/13-4/16/14
Please note this list includes most recalls from CPSC, USDA, FDA, NHTSA (carseats and tires only) and boat recalls from the Coast Guard. I do not include vehicle recalls or USDA/FDA recalls related to undeclared allergens. On February 7, 2014, Graco Children's Products, Inc. (Graco) informed NHTSA that it would be recalling model year 2009 through 2013 toddler and booster child restraints, models Cozy Cline, Comfort Sport, Classic Ride 50, My Ride 65, My Ride w/Safety Surround, My Ride 70, Size 4 Me 70, Smart Seat, Nautilus, Nautilus Elite, and Argos 70. On March 7, 2014, Graco informed NHTSA it would be including an additional 403,222 seats in this recall, including certain model year 2006 through 2014 Argos 70 Elite, Ready Ride, Step 2, My Ride 65 with Safety Surround, My Size 70, Head Wise 70 with Safety Surround, Nautilus 3-in-1, Nautilus Plus, and Smart Seat with Safety Surround. The defect involves difficulty in unlatching the harness buckle. In some cases, the buckle becomes stuck in a latched condition so that it cannot be opened by depressing the buckle's release button.

Evenflo Company, Inc. (Evenflo) is recalling certain convertible and harnessed child restraints, models Momentum 65 (including LX and DLX), Chase (including LX, DLX, and Select), Maestro (including Performance), Symphony (including 65, LX, 65 E3, and DLX), Snugli All-In-One, Snugli Booster, Titan 65, SureRide DLX, and Secure Kid (including LX, DLX, 100, 300, and 400). The affected seats have model number prefixes of 306, 308, 310, 329, 345, 346, 371 or 385. The defect involves difficulty in unlatching the harness buckle. In the convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats, the buckle may become stuck in a latched condition so that it cannot be opened by depressing the buckle's release button.

Baby Trend, Inc. (Baby Trend) is recalling certain model year 2011 and 2012 TrendZ Fastback 3-in-1 child restraints, models FB60070 (Granite) and FB60408 (Jellybean), manufactured between October 2011 and July 2013. The defect involves difficulty in unlatching the harness buckle. In some cases, the buckle becomes stuck in a latched condition so that it cannot be opened by depressing the buckle's release button.

J.P. Boden Recalls Boys’ Pajamas Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard. Sold exclusively at Online at www.bodenusa.com during January 2014 for about $48.

GunBox Recalls Gun Storage Boxes Due to Lock Failure. Sold exclusively online by www.thegunbox.com from January 2014 through February 2014 for between $280 and $475.

K2 Kwicker and Kwicker BC Snowboard Bindings Recalled by K2 Sports Due to Fall Hazard. Sold at Sporting goods stores nationwide from October 2013 through December 2013 for about $200.

Dyson Recalls Bladeless Portable Electric Heaters Due to Fire Hazard. Sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Costco, Fry's, Kohl's, Lowe's, Macy's, Sears, Target and other retailers nationwide, and online at Abt.com, Amazon.com, Dyson.com, Groupon.com, HSN.com, QVC.com and Walmart.com from September 2011 to March 2014 for about $399.

Lenovo Recalls Battery Packs for ThinkPad Notebook Computers Due to Fire Hazard. Sold at computer and electronics stores, authorized dealers and online at www.lenovo.com nationwide from October 2010 through April 2011 for between $350 and $3,000 when sold as part of ThinkPad notebook computers. The battery packs were also sold separately for between $80 and $150.

Hussong Manufacturing and American Flame Recall Kozy Heat, Ambiance and Stellar Hearth gas fireplaces and fireplace inserts Due to Explosion Hazard. Sold at Fireplace dealers and distributors from October 2009 to April 2013 for between $1,450 and $3,325.

Whalen Recalls Stainless Steel Tool Chests Due to Laceration Hazard. Sold exclusively at Costco Wholesale Corp. from March 2010 through October 2013 for between $500 and $550.

Excel Industries Recalls BigDog and Hustler Mowers due to Risk of Injury. Sold at BigDog and Hustler dealers nationwide from August 2013 to January 2014 for about $4,600 to $8,050.

Tyson Foods Inc., a Sedalia, Mo. establishment, is recalling approximately 75,320 pounds of frozen, fully cooked chicken nugget products (5-lb. bags of “Tyson Fully Cooked White Meat Chicken Nuggets”, 20-lb. bulk packs of “Spare Time Fully Cooked Nugget-Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters w/Rib Meat) that may be contaminated with extraneous materials. 5-lb bags were produced Jan. 26, 2014 or Feb. 16, 2014 and shipped nationwide to one retail warehouse club chain. 20-lb bags were produced Jan. 26 and Feb. 16, 2014 and were shipped for institutional use in Indiana and Arkansas.

Nutriom LLC, a Lacey, Wash. establishment, is recalling an additional 82,884 pounds of processed egg products (OvaEasy, Bak-Klene, Vitovo, Panera, Wise Company) that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The dried egg products in the recall expansion were produced from Jan. 2013 through Jan. 2014, and were shipped nationwide and to U.S. military installations in the United States and abroad, and to Mexico.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare is voluntarily recalling all alli® weight loss products from U.S. and Puerto Rico retailers as the company believes that some packages of the product were tampered with and may contain product that is not authentic alli®.

Nova Products, Inc. of Aston, Pennsylvania is voluntarily recalling the following products: African Black Ant (Lot# 2006-000926), Black Ant (Lot# 2006-3627878), XZen Gold (Lot# 130310GL), ZXen Platinum (Lot# 130520PL), XZen 1200 (Lot# 13051012), XZone Gold (Lot# 131110GL), XZone 1200 (Lot# 13071012) and Mojo Risen (Lot# 10081359) at the retail level. Lot numbers are identified on the back or side of each product. FDA laboratory analysis on these products has determined that they contain undeclared amounts of sildenafil and tadalafil, active ingredients of FDA-approved drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Lao Thai Nam Corp., of Dallas, Texas is recalling Number One Sompa Salted Fish, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. Number one Sompa Salted Fish was distributed in the state of Texas (Irving and Houston areas) through retail stores, prior to 03/31/2014.

Fresh Express Incorporated has issued a recall of a limited number of cases of 10 oz. and 6oz. Italian Salad with the already expired Use-by Date of March 26 and a Product Code of H071A11A due to a possible health risk from Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled salad was distributed in limited quantities to predominantly Eastern and Mid-Atlantic states.

Natural Organics, Inc., is voluntarily recalling THURSDAY PLANTATION TEA TREE MOUTHWASH after they were notified by its contract manufacturer INTEGRIA Healthcare (Australia) Pty Ltd. that one lot of Tea Tree Mouthwash failed microbial contamination testing. The mouthwash was distributed nationwide to retail stores and to the following foreign countries: Trinidad; Philippines.

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is recalling Organic Black Peppercorns sold under the Sprouts brand name from all stores. This product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled Organic Black Peppercorns were distributed to Sprouts Farmers Market stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Frontier Natural Products Co-op is voluntarily recalling several of its products manufactured with organic black peppercorns that were sold under its Frontier and Simply Organic brands, Whole Foods Market 365 Everyday Value, Nature’s Place and others due to potential Salmonella contamination. Recalled products were sold in all 50 states and in some parts of Canada to distributors, retailers and consumers.

The recalled "Highest Quality Maintenance & Growth Formula for Cats" were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders.

Lisy Sweet Basil- 6oz, bottle, UPC Code 0 96786 30032 8 began distribution on 01/15/2014 in retail stores in the states of New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Maryland.

Swanson Health Products is voluntarily recalling Swanson Premium Brand Full Spectrum Cilantro (Coriander), item number SW1112, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The product was sold by several different methods. It was either sold at the Swanson Health Products retail store, 109 Broadway N., Fargo, North Dakota, shipped directly to online or mail-order consumers, or held for pick up by the consumer at Swanson Health Products headquarters. The product was sold between November 21, 2013, and January 31, 2014.

The recalled 4oz Chile Molido Puro UPC code 77601-10011 and 6oz Chile Rojo UPC code 77601-10053 was distributed in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and California. King Soopers, Safeway, City Market and various independent grocers received these products.

Covidien plc today announced that it has notified customers of a voluntary recall to address an issue with certain lots of its Pipeline™ Embolization Device and Alligator™ Retrieval Device where the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating applied to the delivery wire could delaminate and detach from the devices.

The Purina Animal Nutrition LLC feed plant in Portland, Ore., has initiated a limited recall of certain poultry feeds due to the potential for lower-than-expected vitamin and trace mineral levels. The products were distributed to retailers in Oregon and Washington.
