Request advice on FF seat

Hello,

Once again I ask for assistance from knowledgeable members of CaSeat.org. Your advice has helped me to purchase to Radian RXT's in the past but now I need another two FF seats for a 2014 Odyssey we will be purchasing shortly.

We have two 3 year old's who are on the petite side weighing in at about 29 lbs and about 31" tall.

I've narrowed down the herd to just 3, but still not sure which is best in my situation. I assume that all top rated seats provide the highest available levels of safety so my other criteria are: comfort (e.g. well padded), reliability and ease of use. Weight isn't much of a concern as we won't be moving them around. Airplane seat certification would be a plus.

My narrow list based on the reviews on carseatblog are:

Graco Argos 70/80 Elite
Recaro Performance Sport
Britax Frontier 90

Can anyone please provide some direction? There's just so many great choices and they all have their pluses and minuses

Thanks for your help,

The Frontier 90 might be overkill for your petite 3 year olds. I would consider the Nautilus or the Britax Pioneer. You want to get the version that has just been redone. Someone will know if it's already available. I'm not sure. The Performance Sport is well liked too. If you're interested in lightweight for traveling, the Evenflo Secure Kids are great for that.

All seats pass the same testing, so if used per the manual they will be safe.:)
Are the kiddos already forward facing? Are you planning to keep the RXT's in the other car?

Yes, we're keeping the RXT's in the other car also FF. Ideally, I'd prefer RF for both of the kids until at least 4, but...

What slot are the kids on ff in the RXT? Just curious. Trying to get an idea of how tall their torsos are. The harness should be at or above their shoulders.:)

I like the Nautilus fine and have had them in the past until expiration, but they're short on crotch room and kids can have head slump in them, so if you're open to the Britax price tag, look at the Pioneer and the Frontier. People really like the click tight installation on the Frontier. It's nice. I have one - I've used it twice lol. But some have had issues with the click tight feature. I don't know if it's a big problem. That's why I'd probably look at the Pioneer. You likely won't need the height the Frontier offers and the Pioneer is less in terms of $$$. The Performance Sport I've never had but it seems well liked. I don't know off hand where it stands in terms of harness height.

They're both using the second from top on the shoulder and middle slot for the lap harness. The shoulder position is maybe 1/2-3/4" above their shoulder.
