Diono Angle Adjuster

Yes, it's safe to use WITH RADIANS ONLY because it's made by the manufacturer and passed FMVSS with those approved seats. It makes a huge difference. Like 4-5" in terms of front-to-back space. Diono specifies it is only to be used with children who have complete head control and can sit unassisted.

Just wanted to add that I'm fairly certain that the US version clarifies it to be for 12+ months.

Thanks. I don't always trust their products because they also made belt tightening thing so I thought I'd check. My baby will be seven months by the time we make the switch and he has great head control. I think he will be more comfortable too. He has a condition with his larynx and breathes more easily the more upright he is.

When you use it with the angle adjuster does it bring the seat's angle more in line with a Britax or is it even more upright? I think the infant seat is too reclined for him because of his larynx and sleep apnea but I don't want to go too far the other way either. I wish I could talk my husband into a Nextfit.

Depends on your vehicle seats. In my moms van the Radian defaults to newborn angle and the AA (angle adjuster) brings slightly more upright. In my explorer, it naturally installs much more upright, like 30 degrees and using an AA brings it nearly upright. I don't use an AA in my car, but I do in my moms :).

I have an 08 Sienna and install in a captain's chair. It is very reclined normally, I'd say newborn angle. I sometimes get it a bit more upright but if always settles into more reclined given time.

They've removed the age restriction.

The angle adjuster generally brings it in line with a Britax, or even more compact.

Thanks!

I think that angle would work. I don't want it too upright, but too reclined is hard on him too. I wish I could just use our Marathon but it expired in February.
