Question Preschool Van (of Death)

Hi, my daughter started a new preschool recently, and the preschool takes the kids on field trips around town in a van. They have a field trip today, and I had a look at the car seats to see if DD would ride in one of theirs, or if I would install hers instead. I was shocked to see that the car seats were not installed correctly (they were all very loose), and at least some of them had expired.

I would like to talk to the preschool director about this, and was wondering if anyone had done something similar and/or had some advice for how to proceed. I'm also wondering if states have laws that cover transportation provided by places like preschool (separately from car seat laws)?

That sounds very dangerous!! I would definitely discuss it with them. Maybe you could find a tech in your area and see if the preschool is willing to have a tech come to educate them on proper use. I would also be concerned about expiration and explain that as well. I believe education is all about a kind approach.
