How much longer does this kid have RF?

My friend's kid is fairly tall with a longish torso. He outgrew the Keyfit 30 by the 1" rule at around 7 months. He is almost 14 months and has 2" of growing room above his head in his Marathon.

Questions:

1. How much longer would you predict he has in the Marathon? Any chance he'll make it to 2?

2. If we lent them our Nextfit, how much longer would he last in that vs the Marathon?

I know it's not a perfect science, but I'd love any insights.

You mean 2 inches until 1" or 2" total?

2" torso means roughly 4" overall and he has 10 months to hit 2 - I would think he'd make it to two but you never know.

The nextfit has 2 or 2 1/2 inches more head room, I believe. Which is easily another year or more. (I am assuming you mean a current version of the marathon not the classic)

The NextFit is 2" taller. I'd be surprised if he didn't make it to 2 in the Marathon. I think 38-40" is a good average height for it to be outgrown. A tall torso will change that some, but still most kids can get to 3 even.

Just a warning to be careful about lending out your seats. I've learned the hard way not to borrow because they come back trashed or broken or don't come back at all. Now unless I don't care if I get it back, I don't lend it out.
