My dd in 3rd row of 2014 Durango

Okay, I just got a 2014 Durango and need to find something for dd to ride in. She'll ride on the 3rd row. I'd love it if we could make due with something we already own since we just bought a new car today and all!

Dd in no booster (her personal favorite, but she's only 8)

Dd in the LiteRider (the shoulder belt does not go on her shoulder. The Cruz is the same.)

Dd in the Incognito. She really doesn't quite weight enough for it yet, I think. I have to weigh her tonight. She hates it, says it hurts the backs of her knees. I think it gives her the best fit.

We also have a Santa Fe but I didn't bother trying it because it sits up higher than the Harmonys and those are pushing the belt off her shoulder.
I don't know what gives. She's not a tall kid.

That is the issue in my Dh's Explorer. With a booster the shoulder belt is off his shoulder. The lapbelt portion fits him good so he is 5 stepping in that car. He is nearly 10.

I agree the incognito looks the best. I wonder how a bubblebum would do though. It's flatter than most boosters I have compared to

I would make sure the incognito is pushed back against the seat as far as it can go and make her deal with it for a while. And test her without it every month.

I would definitely rather try with something we already have than buy something new (even if it is the wrong color!)

the bubble bum passes even when deflated. could she sit on it flat and use the positioning clips to keep it low on her thighs? Then the younger one could use it when she is ready.

It passed when deflated in case of an emergency situation. I don't think it is recommended to use it like that routinely. But maybe I am wrong?
