I'm not sure where the best place is for this.
My Grandpa is not very mobile anymore. They have a Honda Odyssey (I think a 2003). He mostly uses a scooter in the house but does have a wheel chair. He fought having anything for a long time. A lot of people in his shape would never walk, yet he does when going places. He has very little use of one side. For decades he hasn't really been able to lift one leg. He is a fall risk obviously and on blood thinners (bad combo) yet insists on taking their van to appointments. My grandma and mom help him in and out of a 2nd row captain's chair using a wide step (like for step aerobics). It's tricky and dangerous. What could they do within reason to make this safer. Is there a way to safely have a scooter or wheel chair in the van. I've wondered if removing 1 or 2 of the 2nd row seats would let him use a ramp to go up in the wheel chair then move to a seat so he can buckle. I'm just not sure. Plus the ramp would have to be useable at the location too. Some appointments to check his blood, they will come out to help.
