legal minimum for booster seat in Canada

I know it is 40 lbs, but I thought there was a 4 years requirement as well but can't find it. It is for a borderline case in case of emergency, not regular use, but I wanted to make sure they'd be legal still. Thanks.

There is no age minimum in the Canadian standards. Some boosters have min age and that would need to be followed as well.

It's 40# and the height minimum specified in the manual for booster use http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/motorvehiclesafety/safedrivers-childsafety-stage3-booster-seats-1086.htm

Some manuals do recommend age 4 though, not sure if any actually *require* it though. But check the manual for your booster to be certain.

Thank you! I had it stuck in my head there was a minimum of age 4. I've never had to look at it in detail before because we've always been well beyond that. Neither of the boosters I have have a minimum age, just a recommended or average age of 4-10.
