Peg Perego questions already!

I got my Peg today and everything is in place, tags etc. and looks unused. I'm super happy about that. I'm only a few pages in on the manual though and I already have questions.

1. It really rear faces to 35 inches? That seems low.

2. It says not to place near any other airbags in the vehicle, so do they mean it has to be installed center?

Your seat sounds old. What's the DOM? The 35" limit was retracted a long time ago. http://carseatblog.com/14341/peg-pe...eight-limit-on-primo-viaggio-sip-convertible/

Here is the current USA manual http://pegperegousa.com/uploads/resources/P_V_SIP5_70_CONVERTIBLE_FIUS1301I141_USA_EN_-.pdf

If your seat is that old, you also won't have the sticker indicating the max RF height on back of headrest. So you'll have to count. You should see 6 rectangular holes at the back when it's on the 7th click.

Thanks for the info and the manual. I was counting on you!
I can't find the DOM on the seat. The tag which is attached, says 6/28/13 on the registration card, so it's not hot off the press. I looked on the measurements page for the manual, but the link didn't work so I googled it and what came up was the same as the one I have. I'll try the link you gave me.

The DOM is under the front lip of the cover near the harness tightener strap. I recall having to lift the cover to see it. And it's hidden when the seat is RF and has to be uninstalled to get to.

Thanks. I'll go look. And take a photo so I have the info handy. I'm kind of scared to install it. I'm afraid it won't work. Lol! And it's snowing and cold.

I know Peg Canada sent me an updated manual and I bet Peg USA would send you one as well so you can keep it with the seat.

Good idea to take a pic and save for future reference.

I called for an updated US manual back when they came out and I can't remember what the actual changes were in it. All I do remember thinking was how much work it still needed:(.

Yay! It went in there pretty well with the seatbelt. Amazing how easy to thread when you tip it on it's side. There's a tiny bit of movement, but I'm okay with that. Maybe it will be better with LATCH but I'll try that another day. I probably better try it ff too just to be sure. I don't know if I'd use it ff or not. I think I'm going to love it. It seems like it will be pretty easy to load Griffin. It feels pretty open. I'm happy!
