Compass Boosters?

I'm starting to research boosters for a trip this summer with my 40lb 44" will be 4.5 yo.

The compass B540 and B570 get really good reviews- I like the fold up feature for travel. They get good safety ratings.

I rarely see them recommended though- so I'm curious what people think of them. I searched and found a lot of threads from 2010 some said lap belt fit was not good on the B540- but it looks like it has the seatbelt adjust now.

So, curious what people think of them- for both smaller booster riders- and if the folding feature helps during travel or is just a gimmick.

We have One. My 8.5 year old, 52" and 62 lbs is right at the max height for it. We never traveled with it, so I can't comment on that, but my son likes. It. He had good belt fit. He is sad to be too big for it.

We have had two. The original one and then the B570. (I think that is the model) My youngest is still riding in it in my Dh's truck. It is on it's highest height. He is getting close to outgrowing it at 9 and about 60ish pounds. It has been a great seat for him. We have traveled with it and we used the Compass carry bag that we ordered separately. It fit in the overhead compartment on the different planes we have flown on. We now just take a low back booster but it was nice to be able to take a high back in the past.

We have the B510? It is several years old and from when they were made by Compass. We really love it, it has been a great booster for us. I think it isn't recommended much here because there are other boosters that will last longer but for my kids that were slow-growers it worked out fine.

I love the folding feature and the flip-up armrests. I also like the design of the base, which keeps it from tipping, which is a major pet peeve of mine:)

Harmony Folding booster is lighter and folds smaller... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Harmony-Folding-Travel-Booster-Car-Seat/22301298

I have the B570 and do like the belt fit, but it's wide (next to other people or seats) and heavy and a booger to buckle (I've been having to help the 5 yo I take care of...he can buckle himself easily in other boosters) because of the extra step to put the belts under the belt guides. And my 53" 8 year old is too tall for it, but still wants to be in a highback.
So...quality's good, LATCH is nice and optional, sleep support is ok, just glad I only paid $50 for it on an open box buy, lol.
