2014 Hyundai Santa Fe - does anyone have one?

I read somewhere it has a 3rd row option again and I've always liked the Santa Fe. So, it's peaked my interest. I haven't enjoyed tooling around in my Prius that much this winter and I'm thinking of going back to an SUV.

Has anyone seen one, own one or have any input as far as safety, and car seat friendliness?

The 3rd row Sante Fe is a bigger vehicle than the regular and sport Sante Fe's you'll see around town. Check Edmunds.com for more details.

DH almost bought one, it looked pretty CR friendly the middle row moves back and forth, and I believe the outboard headrests come off it does not top tethers in the third row. DH really liked how it drove...he ended up with a 2014 ford explorer because it had more head room, however it doesnt have to cool back up camera that the same price santa fe had.

We looked at it. I liked how it drove, but it felt kind of cramped in the third row due to the headroom. We ended up going with the 2014 Highlander 8 passenger. It has 2 latch in the second row and 1 upper tether in the back row. The flaw is the manual says the seats need to be all the way back with a car seat or booster, which really limits 3rd row leg room.

The Sport version (non 3rd row) we test drove had some CRAZY bulbous plastic hinges between the seats. Split seats that folded down; something like 60/40 but the 60 split too?

Anyways, just make sure the 3rd row version doesn't have that because I'd think that'd be a huge issue with some seats.
