    Moving Up Car Seats

We are in the process of switching up car seats for our kids. Our oldest just turned 6 and is 44 lbs. He has been using the Britax Frontier, but we would like to let our middle child start using that car seat since his older Britax Convertibles will be expiring soon.

Is the high back booster the preferred booster seat for ages 6+? Is a backless booster ever recommended? We have plenty of room for a high back in my Honda Odyssey but are also looking for my husband's Mercury Milan. In addition to the Britax Frontier, we also need space for our 9 month old's infant bucket seat and eventually a rear facing car seat.

    Thank you!

    Re: Moving Up Car Seats

A high-back booster is definitely preferred because it helps position the belt and offers some side impact protection. Generally you'll find a no back booster isn't any narrower than some of the narrow high-backs out there.
