How is Chicco's customer service?

I really want to get a studio nextfit and sell my mystique but I am afraid of the fabric getting weird/pilly over time since it is textured and different. Anyone ever have them replace a cover if it doesn't hold up well??

It's not a car seat, but they happily replaced the covers for my clip on high chairs several times due to fraying/ripping (I have two chairs). The last time the covers alone were out of stock so they sent a whole chair. They did it via email - I just sent pictures/serial numbers. I did finally get good ones.

I called them about replacing the harness on my Keyfit 30 a few months ago. The harness was going to be $45 and she gave me really detailed instructions on cleaning it instead. But they weren't willing to replace it for free. Of course, it wasn't damaged or frayed, if it were maybe they would have. Nonetheless she was definitely helpful :)

Turns out the material is not textured as I thought it was from pics, the waffly texture it appears to have on line is an optical illusion. It doesn't seem as likely to snag and pill as I feared at all.

Now if they would just do a warehouse sale like Combi... I would drive the 2 hours to Lancaster happily for some Chicco bargains :D
