Question How would you say Connexts?

We bought two Graco Connexts this weekend and can't come up with a good plural of the name. "Connexts" leaves my tongue tittering like those monkeys in Caps For Sale. My dh thinks "Connexus" is cool. The kids are all for "Connexti" but it's not a Greek root, people! What would you call them?

"Connexti" would actually be treating it as a Latin, not a Greek root (as a noun from the second declension, except it can't fit that model since it doesn't end in "-us." ;) ) Neither Latin nor Greek roots can account for a noun ending in "ext." Even an irregular Latin noun wouldn't end like that...

If I were saying it, I'd just fall back on my choral training and say "Connexts" and focus on enunciating "ks-t-s" as if it was being sung.

Or, if I wanted to not do that, we could hereby designate the plural of "Connext" as "Connext" (treating it as if it was a fourth or fifth declension Latin noun.) "Connexus" makes me think of a bunch of them being the focus of something. So maybe if it were a LARGE group of Connexts that people were congregating about?

Yeah, it's not proper, but it's still funny.

If you have 2 in the back seat you could refer to the general backseat vicinity as the connexus.

I'd call them Crack Connext seatS.

Ok, auto correct, I get that the Graco brand is popular, but I hardly think it's addictive.

Oh, now that I enjoy- the back seat as the connexus. That's amusing.

I'd call them Crack Connext seatS.

But you see when my father or FIL tries to school me on Latin I reply it's all Greek to me :)

We do end up just calling them "the boosters" lol, but the kids tease me when I call them the "Connects" boosters without properly enunciating the "next." So we started joking about the name. Car seat names are so... out there. (My kids were wholely disappointed with the Graco Nautilus. Nothing to see here, folks, just another boring car seat...)

But I am totally going to try to get them both together in the backseat so we can call it the Connexus!!!
