anyone else having trouble getting on combi's recall website? I triple checked that I'm typing it in correctly, but it keeps saying there's no such address. I'm guessing it's just me

Awesome to hear they started arriving. We leave the 18th and I really want to take my seat. Hoping to see mine tomorrow. USPS, right?

The recall kit took me 15 minutes and I "knew" what I was doing. Maybe I underestimate the average parent, but I foresee a lot of overwhelmed installers and grumbling.

On a related note, I bought my seat new from BRU and never realized there was supposed to be a harness splitter cover in the back. The recall directions mention it, so looks like I can add calling them to my list of things to do tomorrow. I hope they will send me one v

Are you talking about the plastic cover piece on the back of the seat? If so I called them last week because mine fell off somewhere after I took the seat out for the recall. The guy I talked to told me you are never supposed to use the seat without it. It says that in the manual too and on the seat I believe. It was $15 shipped I think. He said it isn't a part they normally carry but he happened to have one lying around. Otherwise it was a special order.

Yes, I'm missing that part and I don't recall that anywhere in the manual. I'll call tomorrow. It's not a seat I've been using thankfully.

I haven't gone back to the manual to xheck, or looked at the seat but I had remembered reading it somewhere so knew to call for another one, I was hoping he'd say ni big deal but immediately said don't use the seat. Now I'm wondering if I actually read it on the plastic piece itself. That would be kinda silly since in your case it was never there to read not to use the seat without it.

Just checked the manual online. It's on page 60.

Yup, I see it now in the manual. I've only used the seat rear facing and I'm guessing there would be concern of the harness straps getting caught in an install forward facing. I obviously won't use the seat anymore until I get the part, and am thankful nothing happened when I did use the seat for travel in the past. Thanks!

I got the letter informing me of the recall yesterday. And the kit came today, since I ordered it the first day ordering went live online.

I haven't opened the kit yet. Maybe this weekend. I don't want to open it and risk losing anything before I have time to tear into the CCO.

That's about how long it took me. I had downloaded and read the instructions already. Because there's nothing I love like a good car seat instruction PDF.

How sad is it that I'm kind of looking forward to taking the thing apart? Car seat nerd here. And my new Coccoro came today too!

It was kind of enjoyable. The instructions were clear and seemed fairly well thought out. Thank goodness for the L-shaped doo-dad!

These are my everyday seats so I wanted to get it done ASAP.

Thank you! I called this morning and explained and they are mailing it out today. He was surprised to hear I received the recall kit already because "they" were told they wouldn't be shipped out until Friday. I informed him others had received theirs as well yesterday! He was super kind and asked if I minded telling him about the recall kit and how easy it would be for the average consumer and if I saw any potential issues. Overall another great customer service experience from combi!
