Convertable seat and 2-door car

My mom has a 2-door PT Cruiser. It only has 2 seats in the back and honestly, it doesn't even feel like they ever intended to let humans sit back there. It's so small. But I did get a Guide 65 to fit and don't have to have the passenger seat too far up. However getting my son in and out is a horrible pain. Soon it will be 2 kids back there. We only use the car a few times a month at most but sometimes it's completely unavoidable. There are no other suggestions on how to make this easier right? My mom cannot get my son and and out herself, so far she hasn't *needed* to take him somewhere but it's proven really inconvenient. And since he's only 16 months, FF is obviously out of the question.

I don't know that car but is loading through the hatch a possibility? That's how I load rf kids in the 3rd row of our van.
ETA: some pics look like it's not open, no fun.

Yeah it's the convertible and it's really tight. I can take the top down, put the kids in and then out the top back up. But that's not only time consuming but I'm almost too short to do it. I literally hang over the side of the car on my belly to reach. Lol. I think it's probably a lost cause and we'll just have to deal

I don't know how this would translate to the Cruiser, but in my 2-door, 4-seater Blazer I put the RF seat on the driver's side because the passenger side is the one that slides all the way forward easily. I then climb into the back seat on the passenger side with my child and sit next to her while I buckle her in. It's very very easy.

But the back seat in the Blazer is fairly roomy. So I don't know how helpful this suggestion is.

I'll have 2 car seats in the back so no sliding in like I do now (well now I'm pregnant and don't really "slide" in anywhere lol) but the backseat is still super tight. We've got a couple months to figure out another solution. Getting my oldest from school is the only time (other than maybe an emergency situation I guess) that we'd have all 3 in that car. So we'll just brain storm some more.
