Sadly, the owner was clueless.
I met up with her to sell a baby item, and she was talking about her troubles with Orbit because the toddler seat was pushed back 6 months, and her daugher is already 22 pounds (20 max) and 30 inches (28 max) and can SIT UP in it.... but she's still using it. I wanted to see it soooo bad, so I bit.
She didn't have it installed well at all (though the install method looked great), and she still had the straps in the BOTTOM (of three) positions. Egads, no wonder her kid can sit up! But she was saying how great it was for when they go to Morocco (kid is nine months and has been four times, and was born there) even though they don't USE a car seat over there. The car seat was cool, but the stroller was awesome. Super small (well, it should be, it doesn't have a seat) and folds up with a twist of the support bar. The basket is more of a pod thing.... a sack on a rail that you can slide off (with rail) and use as the diaper bag. Very cool. I thought the stroller was very neat (though of course not worth near what it costs).
The woman was interesting... showed up in all her henna tattoos, immediately spotted a cloth diapered butt, talked about breast feeding and co sleeping and home birthing and all the other "embracing the natural life" stuff. I might have been friends with her in real life (hey, I have her email and phone number, maybe I still will be!) but her car seat habits would make me insane.
