Question Parkway SGL 2013 or Recaro ProBooster?

Max's Parkway SGL isn't working. The belt guides are causing the seatbelt to not retract. I've narrowed it down to the 2013 SGL (tried it today and the belt retracts fine) or the ProBooster. I can't try the ProBooster which is a big negative. Anything I should know as far as pros and cons of either seat?

You don't have to use the belt guides in the pkwy if the belt fits properly w out it

Did someone at Britax say that? We have the same problem with our 2012 SGL in one car and someone told me that over the phone too, but it seemed to contradict the manual, so I wasn't completely comfortable. My slim DD doesn't fit a shoulder belt without a belt guide at this point anyway, but it would be good to know if they've issued anything official on this, not just a rep saying it over the phone, iykwim. Have they?

OP, it's helpful to know that the 2013 model might work with our shoulder belt even if the 2012 doesn't. I just wish I'd waited a little and bought that one. I haven't seen either seat in person, but I can see why you're having difficulty choosing because they both seem very nice. The reasons I'd probably choose the SGL would be the added height (I think it's taller, right?) and the adjustable latch strap. Although I don't love their fabric/color options for this year at all and have wanted to try a Recaro, so I don't know.

I went ahead and ordered the SGL. I figured since I had tried it and it worked and I wasn't able to try the ProBooster, I'd go with what I knew would fit. Thanks!!!
