Cool day: Jupiter, Safeguard and (someday) Signo, oh my!

So I had to drive out to another area of the city yesterday to help out another store (I work in retail and they're short a manager). On my way home I passed USA Baby, so I decided to stop in since I hadn't been there in over a year (I don't normally go out that way).

Wow! Much improved in the car seat department since I was last there. They have the Madison Regent, that I wish I knew about before my neighbors bought the Sahara at BRU. And SAFEGUARD! I've never before seen one in real life. They had both the Go! and the Child Seat (which is really, super cool). I also talked to an employee there named Stu, who was a tech but let his certification lapse. I guess he was doing checks and installs at the store, and he wasn't able to get anything else done. When I asked about the Como/Signo, he said they would be getting them both (when I originally called the store about the Como before it came out, they said they were still researching it and would decide later )

I'm SO SAD I didn't bring my camera. I think I have to go back some day and do some test installs and some measurements and comparisons.

Oh, almost forgot. They also had a Jupiter Komfort Kruiser, which sounded vaguely familiar but that I had to do a search about . "On Sale" for $33. Um, at best it's almost 3 years old, right? yikes. I didn't think to look for a DOM (I need a head-smacking icon)

I just went to my USA baby and saw the Safeguard seats. DROOOL over the Child Seat!! Wow. If that thing went RFing it'd be worth every penny.

The next day at a check where I was working one of the other techs said she worked on a cool seat (she said it was a combination seat) that you just pushed a black button and the LATCH did what it needed to do. She had no idea the cost or the amazement of the seat before she checked it. I was SO envious!!!! Oh man.

It was made 2002-2005. It's a comfortable seat, and $33 isn't too bad, depending on the DOM.
